Construction phases since project inception in June 2007


November 2008:
  • connection to the public grid
  • full load reached

October 2008:
  • steam boilers at the EC3 power station put into operation
  • cleaning works ("boiler blowdown") on the pressurized parts of both boilers successfully completed at the following parameters: pressure:
    60 bar, temperature: 400 degrees Celcius, steam output: 60 t/h.

starting August 2008:
  • assembly of the technological supply pipeline system and the Distributed Control System (DCS)
  • assembly of the flue gas channels

June 2008 - September 2008:
  • assembly of the flue gas dust removal system

June 2008 – July 2008:
  • assembly of the flue gas - flue gas heat exchanger

May – October 2008:
  • assembly of the slag and ash processing systems

May 2008 - September 2008:
  • assembly of the turbo-generating set in the turbine house

May 2008 - July 2008:
  • modernization of mechanical draft cooling tower

March 2008 - October 2008:
  • assembly of the prefabricated constructional elements for the new boiler house

January 2008- April 2008:
  • construction of the gypsum processing building

December 2007:
  • The groundbreaking ceremony was held on December 12.

June 2007 - December 2007:
  • demolition of the old boiler house
