First meeting of the European Employee Representation Body at PCC SE
On 5 November 2008 the first meeting of the members of PCC SE's Employee Representation Body took place in Wrocław. Its purpose was to elect the board representing this body.
Wrocław, November 2008 – The body created to represent the interests of the employees of the companies forming the PCC SE group of companies, was founded in 2006 on the basis of an accord between the board of PCC AG and a Special Negotiation Committee, which was created in the framework of employee participation in the transformation of PCC AG into a European Joint-Stock Company.The accord defined the aims of the body's work comprising e.g. information and consultations between the companies and their employees and the exchange of opinions on a European level. The consultations will mainly concern the current structure of PCC SE, its economic and financial situation, the business development of the companies, their employment level and investment plans.
Five persons representing the employees of the PCC group of companies were elected to the board. Andrzej Cebula from PCC Rail was elected chairman of the board, while Andrzej Lech from PCC Rokita was elected deputy chairman.
Following the election of the persons representing the body, the managing director of PCC SE, Dr. Alfred Pelzer, presented the strategy of the PCC SE Group, the structure of the company and its economic and financial situation.
The management of PCC SE and the European Employee Representation Body (EERB PCC SE) will hold joint meetings at least once a year to exchange essential information concerning the employees of the companies forming the PCC group of companies.
