Unterstützen Sie uns als Consultant (m/w). Beraten Sie uns innerhalb spezieller Projekte sowohl bei chemischen Prozessen als auch beim Verkauf beziehungsweise bei Anwendungen, insbesondere in den Bereichen:

  • Ethoxylierungs- und Propoxylierungsprozesse sowie Folgeprodukte,
    wie zum Beispiel PEG (Polyethylenglycol)
  • Surfactants, wie zum Beispiel Betaine, Esterquats
  • Oleochemicals
  • Polycarboxylate
  • Polyurethane und Polyurethan-Systeme
  • Polyurethan-basierende Klebstoffe
  • Polyester-Polyole
  • Phosphor-Folgeprodukte, wie PCl3, Flammschutzmittel

Construction work on PCC‘s silicon metal plant in Bakki by Húsavík is now almost finished. The silicon metal plant will be one of the world‘s most technically advanced and environmentally friendly silicon metal plants. Startup is expected to begin in December 2017.

PCC BakkiSilicon‘s workforce will consist of around 110 individuals with various backgrounds and education.

Commitment to health, safety and environmental issues is an important prerequisite for these jobs.

Plans assume eight-hour three-per-day shifts on weekdays and twelve-hour shifts on weekends. Each shift gets every other weekend off and certain weekdays.

The operator jobs are diverse long-term jobs designed for versatile employees.

Competency Requirements:

  • A strong safety awareness and alertness
  • Efficiency and willingness to face challenging projects
  • Agility in communications and readiness for teamwork
  • Integrity and punctuality
  • A machine operating license is an asset
  • Proficiency in Icelandic and/or knowledge of English

We will emphasize production-controlled maintenance, using condition analysis and preventive methods to minimize downtime of equipment. Approved methods will guide maintenance organization.

Mechanics attend to various maintenance activities. Employees work in teams and each individual‘s tasks are diverse. Mechanics will work on dayshifts and also attend to call-outs (standby shifts)

Competency Requirements:

  • Education in the field of engine practice/mechanics
  • A strong safety awareness and alertness
  • Willingness to constantly seek improvement
  • Agility in communications and readiness for teamwork
  • Disciplined methods of work and good organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Icelandic and/or English
