to work in the Adhesives field

Duties:

· Formulation, application and testing of adhesives
· Test program plannning and execution to specification
· Documentation of work results
· Preparation of lab reports for customers
· Provision of application-related technical advice to customers
· Project work
· Provision of technical training support

Background:

· Professional/vocational qualification as chemistry technician, chemistry lab technician or chemical engineer

PCC BakkiSilicon hf.

Construction work on PCC‘s silicon metal plant in Bakki by Húsavík is now almost finished. The silicon metal plant will be one of the world‘s most technically advanced and environmentally friendly silicon metal plants. Startup is expected to begin in April 2018.

PCC BakkiSilicon‘s workforce will consist of around 110 individuals with various backgrounds and education.

Commitment to health, safety and environmental issues is an important prerequisite for these jobs.

Plans assume eight-hour three-per-day shifts on weekdays and twelve-hour shifts on weekends. Each shift gets every other weekend off and certain weekdays.

The operator jobs are diverse long-term jobs designed for versatile employees.
