This modern combined heat and power (CHP) generating plant on the factory site of PCC Rokita SA in Brzeg Dolny has been providing energy to our chemical production facilities there since 2008. Its installed rating is 70 megawatts thermal output and 15 megawatts electric power.

Principal:PCC Rokita SA
Location:Factory site of PCC Rokita SA in Brzeg Dolny, Poland
Capacity:Installed capacity:
70 megawatts thermal, 15 megawatts electric
Commissioned:November 2008 / Modernization 2015 – 2017
Project description:2008:
Commissioning of the advanced combined heat and power (CHP) Plant EC-3 (coal/biomass)Benefits: Improved security of process steam and electricity supplies  at PCC’s largest chemicals site in Brzeg DolnyBecause of its use of state-of-the-art systems (BAT – Best Available Technology), the project was co-financed by the European Fund for Regional Development and Poland’s National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.2015 – 2017:
Installation of new electrostatic precipitators at our CHP plant. The significant reduction in dust emissions means levels are already below the new EU limits due to come into force in Poland in 2020. A newly installed back-pressure turbine serves to further reduce energy costs.
