Duisburg, November 15, 2022 – Duisburg-based investment holding company PCC SE maintained its upward momentum in the third quarter with further increases in earnings and sales across the PCC Group. Here the highlights of Quarterly Report 3/2022:

  • PCC Group increases nine-month 2022 sales to € 994.4 million, already outstripping full-fiscal revenues for 2021
  • Nine-month EBITDA of PCC Group up 55.4 % year on year to € 196.7 million
  • Operating profit (EBIT) for first nine months almost doubled to € 142.0 million

“The main reason for this positive development is that average selling prices have continued to significantly exceed our expectations, particularly in the case of caustic soda and other chlorine derivatives, some of which reached historic highs,” explained Ulrike Warnecke, Member of the Executive Board of PCC SE. “And although on the earnings side we did not quite match the record levels of the two previous quarters, we were still able to far exceed the excellent prior-year figures and our high expectations for fiscal 2022 as a whole in the third quarter,” Warnecke added.

The above Group financials are unaudited. Detailed information on business performance in the third quarter and the nine-month figures can be found in PCC Group Quarterly Report 3/2022, available here as a PDF download.
