Duisburg/Gdynia (Poland), February 19, 2021. PCC Intermodal S.A., a leading operator of intermodal transport in Poland and Eastern Europe, is expanding its container transport connections with new wagons. The largest logistics company in the PCC Group is currently putting 20 new 90-foot wagons into operation and is expected to receive the next part of the order later this year. Overall, PCC Intermodal S.A.’s wagon fleet, which currently comprises more than 700 flat wagons, is being expanded by 150 container platforms. The acquisition of the wagons is supported by the EU as part of ‘Infrastructure and Environment” Operational Programme. PCC Intermodal currently operates more than 5000 intermodal train connections per year between the ports of Gdańsk, Gdynia, Hamburg, Rotterdam, and Antwerp, its own combined transport terminals in Poland and Germany as well as terminals in Duisburg and Brest on the Belarusian-Polish border.
