A holistic approach to sustainability
Sustainability is firmly anchored in our corporate philosophy, with equal weighting being given to its economic, ecological and social aspects. We do not see any contradiction between these criteria, viewing them instead as integral and as mutually beneficial components of value-enhancing growth.
PCC SE and all companies of the PCC Group are committed to adopting an ethical and sustainable approach in their business activities. Our actions are governed entirely by the principles of the Global Responsible Care® initiative. This serves to promote the efforts of the chemicals industry in continuously improving occupational health and safety, public health and safety, and environmental protection, irrespective of prevailing legal requirements.

PCC accepts ethical responsibility for ensuring the adoption and pursuit of sustainable, ecologically sound, economically efficient and fair business practice.
Our Group-wide commitment to social responsibility constitutes an integral component of our corporate philosophy. All employees of the PCC Group are trained in accordance with their function, level of authority and qualifications to properly discharge their responsibilities in all such matters.

The chemical companies of the PCC Group, such as PCC Rokita SA, PCC Exol SA, PCC Consumer Products Kosmet Sp. z o.o. and PCC Synteza S.A. are members of the Global Responsible Care® initiative.
PCC Exol has also signed up to the Global Compact initiative of the United Nations. The company has thus committed to compliance with ten principles of sustainable development. In 2014, PCC Exol implemented the Code of Ethics for Employees and similar precepts applicable to suppliers, the Anti-Corruption Directive, plus a number of regulations governing environmental protection, process safety and respect for human rights.
PCC Exol SA and PCC Rokita SA are certified members of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and thus actively supports sustainable palm oil production.
In 2014, PCC Exol became the first ever Polish company to implement Good Manufacturing Practice in compliance with the guidelines of the European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients.
The management systems of PCC Rokita and PCC Exol are registered to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
In 2014, PCC Exol SA was Poland’s first company to implement the system of Good Manufacturing Practise in compliance with the guidelines issued by the European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients (EFfCI).
PCC Consumer Products Kosmet Sp. z o.o has introduced the EU standards of Good Manufacturing Practice.
PCC Consumer Products Kosmet Sp. z o.o. is a member of the European “Cleanright“ initiative of A.I.S.E.
Various awards, in particular for our two major Polish production companies, have served to reinforce our focus on adopting a holistic approach to sustainability.
In recent years, for example, PCC Rokita has received a number of accolades such as “Lower Silesia’s Best Exporter 2014”. Like PCC Exol SA, it was also nominated in 2014 for the title “Pearl of the Polish Economy”.
In 2018, PCC Synteza S.A. received a gold medal for its CSR reporting from the international collaborative sustainability platform, EcoVadis.
In 2017, PCC Exol SA and PCC Consumer Products Kosmet Sp. z o.o. received a gold medal for their CSR reporting from the international collaborative sustainability platform, EcoVadis.
In June 2017, PCC Rokita SA received a silver medal for its CSR reporting from the international collaborative sustainability platform, EcoVadis.
As a participant in the international Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), PCC Exol is actively combating climate change. In the CDP Evaluation Report of 2015, the chemicals company received a score of 92 points (2014: 81 points).
